One of my former bosses had this big red couch in his office. Instead of two chairs in front of his massive desk, it’s the big red couch where you had to sit on if he had something to tell you. We all dreaded being asked to sit on that big red couch because it felt like we were being sentenced to our death when seated there! Our boss loved lording it over his subordinates and you could feel it while sitting in front of his massive desk.
I just shake my head whenever I am reminded of those days…
This is great! We have a red sofa, it’s leather. We bought it from a close out sale at a large big box furniture store. It was used in a commercial and since it was used, we got a great deal.
It has been the butt of jokes in our home over the years, mostly the moving of it as we are somewhat gypsy-like and have moved often.
That’s a great story that goes along with it, about the boss having one and the “sentence” when asked to “Sit down”. Nice color too, a lot of Rubiness here today for sure.
